When she was a second grade of primary school, Mateja went for tonsillectomy. That was her first encounter with medical nurses and their work and she was fascinated. Due to that, after primary school, her logical choice was a medical uniform. After graduating from medical school in High school Pakrac, she worked for her husband for three years in a bookkeeping firm, but she was waiting for an opportunity to work in her own profession. In 2016 she applied for a tender for a nurse at Polyclinic Arcadia and since then, she has been employed in our Polyclinic. She has been fascinated by an operating room from the very first day. Already during the first week, she was interested in assisting during the operations, but she had to walk the small steps from the door of the hall to the operating table. Most of all, she likes to instrument top surgeons and learn about the human body from them. Besides the surgery itself, it is very important for her to prepare the patient psychologically for the procedure. She wants the patient to feel safe and relaxed next to her, the way she once felt during the tonsillectomy. Mateja spends free time with her family, most frequently in bicycle adventures. They recently got a dog to motivate them to physical activity ?
