Dr Stela was born in 1962 in Zagreb where she attended primary school. Dr Stela grew up in a family with a father who was a doctor and a mother who was a pharmacist, so she always felt that she will choose the same path too. As an excellent student she was looking for challenging enough university, which would be medicine, according to complexity of knowledge levels. She graduated from Medical university in Zagreb in 1986. She preferred dermatology for her specialization due to its variety of treatment possibilities, from cosmetology to really serious and life endangering diseases. Both as a high school and university student, she liked to draw and paint, she has always been a visual type of person and according to her, dermatology is a branch of medicine where you can see everything if you know how to watch. She completed her specialization in Clinical Hospital Centre “Sestre milosrdnice” and Clinical Hospital Centre Zagreb. From the first day, she has been employed in the General hospital Virovitica at the same workplace and strives to provide herself and her patients with the greatest possible diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities on a daily basis. She specializes in the study of psoriasis in terms of therapy with the most modern and most effective drugs for immune-mediated diseases. Since 2001 she has held numerous lectures on the topic of psoriasis treatment and presentation of cases within dermatological-rheumatological conferences. She has published professional articles on the treatment of basal cell carcinoma of the skin with a local preparation of fluorouracil in Acta Dermatovenerologica Croatia, a magazine of Croatian dermatovenerological society and an article about psoriasis treatment by biological therapy in the magazine Humira info. In further professional development, she relies on progress in medicine and she is willing to learn and apply everything that future is bringing, through acquisitions and possibilities. Her role models are all her colleague doctors who have great knowledge, experience and who are willing to work and progress. In her free time, Dr Stella plants and maintenances numerous ornamental plants and garden. She likes spending time in nature, reading and making mosaics from tiles. When she has enough time, she hangs out and travels with her family and friends.
