In May, our Dr Bojan Ignatovski attended a symposium about breast augmentation with silicone implants with repercussion on female health, in Hamburg. The lecturers were eminent aesthetic surgeons from all over the world. There were talks of implant quality, selection of ideal size and shape of the implants, surgical techniques, possible complications and achieved results. The aim of the symposium was to present scientific, professional and practical knowledge about the harmfulness of implants, through discussions of the participants. <\/p>\n\n

The results of numerous studies were presented. Conclusion of all the participants was that product of only two manufacturers caused cancer. With other manufacturers there were no reported complications. Silicone implants from the manufacturers with potential possibility of cancer occurrence, are not in the market in Croatia. <\/p>\n\n
